You guys asked for it (literally, it was your requests for a game screen that convinced us to do the project) and now you've got it. We are most pleased with the outcome and think you will be too. AD a uniquely useful moderator's resource, and is far more that just a cardboard screen.

On the player's side are the six regional maps from Archipelago, rendered in full, glowing color, as satellite photos, complete with drifting clouds, ocean waves and a key to habitats and land covertypes.

The moderator's side has everything you could need to run a BP game, and then some. In fact, there are even a few goodies (NPC compentancey table, consolidated weapons table, hand weapons damage, etc) that are available nowhere else.

The included booklet (28 pages) contains 28 new Access Denied entries, dealing with secret goings-on from A to Z (Aborigines to...er...Xenosilicates). It also contains an intersettlement distance chart with over 600 entires, an expanded 1400+ entry BP index, and several reference collections, including settlement demographics and vehicle range/endurance. There is also an expanded, character generation guide, and the main damage tables from BP (for quick reference). The whole kaboodle is $15.95, and comes not in tear and toss shrink wrap, but in a durable, reusable magazine collector's bag.

In our humble opinions, this is one of the most useful (and best looking) game screen products in gaming, and we are convinced you will like what you get. AD premiered at Origins 99 and is available for mail order.

Echoes of War 1: Thrillin' Heroics
Echoes of War 1: Thrillin' Heroics

ECHOES OF WAR: THRILLIN' HEROICS combines the first four stand-alone adventures in the Echoes of War line. These Episodes were written by Margaret Weis, Andrew Peregrine, Monica Valentinelli, and Nicole Wakelin.

This set includes five unique Episodes, a basic set of rules, rules for all nine cast members, twelve new archetypes and basic ship rules for hours of Firefly gaming fun. Each Episode is illustrated with a stunning piece of artwork and is presented in a five-to-six act structure —just like the show! These adventures also include: dozens of new NPCs, rules for Firefly TV characters like Badger, adventure maps, and new towns found scattered throughout the ‘Verse. All of the rules found in ECHOES OF WAR: THRILLIN’ HEROICS are fully compatible with the FIREFLY RPG corebook, too. Shiny!

Please Note: This supplement includes basic rules, characters, and player sheets. May be sold as a stand-alone product or in conjunction with the corebook.

* Serenity Crew - Serenity Crew allows you to spend your days playing Mal, Zoe, Wash, Kaylee, Inara, Jayne, Simon, Book, or River. If you're the type that wants to try something new, take a gander at the twelve archetypes we're offering you, too. If the math's right, that's twenty-one different options for you to play a character in the 'Verse. The rules in this release were expanded upon in the Firefly RPG corebook. Written by Monica Valentinelli and Cam Banks.

* Wedding Planners - During the War, some folks chose a side and others pitted the Alliance and the Independents against each other for fun and profit. Well, mostly profit. Enter Templeton Steele, a powerful weapons designer whose bride-to-be is none other than the lovely Liliana Fairchild. Now, on account of these two lovebirds getting hitched, you and your crew are hired to transport Lilly to a fancy ship called the Rim's Dream. Sounds easy enough, right? Unite the happy couple and they'll get paid? Only thing is, this Princess ain't exactly happy about the wedding. The more you find out, the worse this job gets - and the less chance you have of getting paid. Written by Margaret Weis.

* Shooting Fish - The War may be over, but there're still plenty of bad people looking to do bad things, and they don't seem to need war as an excuse to come after their fellow man neither. Some folk will happily turn out a bunch of orphans to make themselves a few coins. Buzzard Lake is one such fella, but like all men he's got a weakness. He don't like to lose. That's where you and your crew come in. Lake needs to learn what second place feels like, and you're gonna teach him. You might even save some orphans in the bargain if he don't kill you first. Written by Andrew Peregrine.

* Friends In Low Places - Sometimes meeting up with old friends in Serenity View is cause for celebration, but not this time. Over drinks, you and your Crew discover that Monty's new wife Daisy has gone missing. Worse, your pal thinks that Virgil Morningstar, a Guild trader with a heap of Alliance connections, had something to do with her disappearance. By the time you find out Daisy ain't the only one who's vanished, you and your Crew'll be neck-deep in trouble and hard-pressed to find your way out of it. Thing is, if you do unravel this little mystery, you'll claim a big reward and be heroes to boot. Written by Monica Valentinelli.

The 264-page book also includes a basic set of rules and all nine cast member bios so the corebook is not needed.

Handout to End All Handouts

The City Guide That Shatters Reality
At the end of the 19th century, an American art student went to Paris, read a play, and lost his grip on reality.

The play was called The King in Yellow.

Having read it, head reeling from absinthe, bedeviled by unseen adversaries, he realized that the alien world it described, Carcosa, had sunk its traces throughout the City of Lights.

As he explored Paris in search of its decadent influence, he created a scrapbook. A guide for himself, and for those who would come after him.

Yoked together from existing travelogues, newspapers, and the disquieting ephemera of the occult tradition, it laid out a skewed portrait of a haunted city:

* Art student life, from hazing rituals to fabulous bacchanals at the Moulin Rouge
* Hangouts and nightspots, from everyday beaneries to ghoulish cabarets
* Neighborhoods and attractions, with useful maps
* Sources of knowledge, from museums to institutes of technology
* Operations of the justice system, from the city’s police to its prisons
* Rites of death, from funeral fees to the notorious, bone-stacked catacombs
* Details of everyday life, including currency, communications, and essential phrases
* A timeline of recent historical events

In the margins appear the increasingly fervid scrawls of the anonymous compiler. Through them determined investigators of the Yellow Sign mystery will learn:

* Who to seek aid from
* Where madness lurks
* And to never waver in their distrust of clowns

Absinthe in Carcosa is an indispensable city guide for The Yellow King Roleplaying Game and a stunning, full-color visual artifact in its own right.

Give it to your players and let them find the mysteries of Paris.

Or let them buy their own deuced copies and keep their snack-festooned fingers off of your pristine edition.

Brought to you by document blandisher extraordinaire Dean Engelhardt and feverish scribbler supreme Robin D. Laws.
